Roadside Cottage-1889
Dennis Miller Bunker (1861-1890)
Lucy Bran, “who as early, at least, as 1785, owned a small house on W. Main Street. Lucy was a tall, gaunt woman, with dark, piercing eyes. She occupied much of her time in weaving homespun cloth; she seems to have supported herself by her own industry, and to have a lived a respected life among our citizens.” – Medfield Historical Society
Inspired by her spirit, her elegantly humble life, and in preserving the tradition of integrity in materials, reverence for human artistry, and the importance of building community; The Lucy Bran House seeks to preserve the joy in everyday traditions. Simple rituals that nourish our body and spirit daily deserve special objects born from organic origins.
